Shimano Technium Thread Description
The triple core technology in Technium monofilament has always made this one of the best lines on the market , but new Japanese technologies have made it not only thinner but stronger!
A triple core construction not only provides excellent strength but also reduces line stretch, as the center layer is solid, most monofilaments stretch 25%, Technium around 12%! This not only greatly increases casting distance, but makes for much sharper bite detection without the fear of fish loss .
The solid center gives this line its excellent sinking properties. The second layer gives the line its flexibility, which is apparent the moment it comes off the spool.
From the first cast, the lack of memory allows reaching great distances without effort , the lack of winding again helps to detect bites. A final ultra-thin layer of UV protection is applied which gives the line a silky smooth finish, aiding casting and ensuring the longevity of the line.
