This tapered rig, commonly called rat tail, tapered thread or bridge , is specifically designed to increase casting distances in surfcasting . The lead goes progressively from a large diameter of 0.57 mm, which resists the pressure of the cast, to a smaller diameter that we easily tie to the reel line. Technical competition anglers, as well as recreational ones, will appreciate the discretion obtained by its translucent color.
